Unfortunately, there are a series of images that show up on a general search that keep her from being used as a PB on the boards. The images.... exceed a PG13 rating.

Just wondering why she wouldn't be an appropriate PB? She's a singer from Canada who has a song that's used in the Pampers commercial, she's just not that well known as an individual. Most people who know her, know her as Coeur De Pirate. I'm not trying to be offensive, I just love her as a singer so it strikes me as odd she's not a good PB.

After a quick search, Beatrice Martin is not an appropriate PB. The other two would be fine.

Time for the monthly bump........
Here's some clarifications and modifications to the guidelines. I hope this makes things easier for shopkeepers and customers alike
Images
Images posted on the HPDC need to follow the guidelines.
So a short list - that will be updated from time to time to include anything that may have been missed:
* No personal images (see note below), no personal information on the images
* Properly dressed subjects. We do not need to see, or almost see anyone's assets
* No profanity, languages other than English or other inappropriate text on the images
* No weapons of any sort. Unless it's a wand or the Sword of Gryffindor, it's not allowed.
* No copyrighted or watermarked images - it is also illegal to alter these, so do everyone a favor and don't post them here at all.
* No URLs on images.
* No linking to to other sites (including back to photobucket or imageshack)
* Image hosting accounts must be set to private.
How to post:

Image sizes
There have been many different image sizes thrown out on the site. The mods have considered them all and have decided that the following are the best sizes to go with .
Avatars: 60x60
(picture under your SN)
Thread banners: 250x50 - ALL boards
(Title of thread)
We will no longer have separate thread banner sizes for different areas of the site. We will be going with a universal size.
Topic Banners: 700x150
(Inside of threads)
Signatures: 500x200
Personal Images
'Personal' is not limited to images of you, personally or your friends and family. It also means someone's personal images that have been posted and (foolishly) left for everyone and anyone to view. Yes, this includes random people that you've found on Google.
Play-bys (PBs) should be celebs. And by celeb I mean an actress/actor, musician or model. Scene kids, bloggers and self-proclaimed celebs do not fall under the celeb status and may not be used.
If your play-by is not mainstream, or you would like to know if your PB can be used or not, provide the name so the mods can check it out and verify that they're not personal pics or if they can be used.

I don't like to lean toward one site or another. I personally google images I use, but there are several sites that contain good images.
The key is knowing how to identify copyrights and watermarks and you'll be fine. Look for writing on the image - is it marked with the name of the photographer or company? Does it have a magazine's name on it?
Not all images are going to be easy to identify as copyrighted, but if you have doubts, ask. I'm more than happy to help out.
