So, its not a certain type of magic or anything? No incantations were said, it was just a bunch of wands lit up like flashlights.

That part when they lit their wands to the Dark Mark was not in the book. It was a pretty stupid thing, if you ask me.

Okay, so I've been watching the movie over and over (cuz its so good), I don't understand what sort of magic everyone had used when they were in the Paved Courtyard. After Bellatrix had placed the Dark Mark in the sky, then the students and teachers reached out for their wands full of light.

I have read the book, but its been awhile. Can anyone enlighten me?
