When I heard about the half blood prince movie coming out, I had mixed emotions about seeing the movie. I thought that when i see the part where snape does what he would do to dumbledore, I would be angry ,because thats how i felt about snape by the time i was finished with the book, but instead of being mad, I was sad, and I think its such a shame that the people who made the movie decided not to put in the funeral of dumbledore. I think as sad as the funeral would be, potter fans everywhere deserved to see how the wizard world would honor one of their greatest wizards. I think it was a shame that they also ommited the dumbledore visit to the dursleys. I would have loved to see the looks on their faces when they met dumbledore. I think the one part of the movie which surprised me the most was the weasleys house being destroyed by the bad guys. I dont know if its in the book or not, but it surprised me a lot, and I think that the timing for that part was wrong. Christmas and the days after Christmas leading up to new years,is a time for joy and peace on earth, but thats the way they wanted it those are some of my feelings on it. Thanks for allowing me to say all of this

Hmmm....movie would have been good except that the entire point of the book is that the tension is growing, dark things are happening behind the scenes...the movie (in part, but not entirely because of its length) put no such feelings across. Thus, it totally blew the point of the book. My boyfriend who enjoyed the first few movies actually left the theatre to take a nap in the car halfway thru! That tells you what he thought of it. I was not far behind!

I thought it was a very moving film though i was upset that they left out some important things but all in all it was a good film you could really see how the characters matured.

My absolute favorite bit was after Harry took the Felix potions. Hahaha! Omg, it was hilarious.

I also thought it was great. i saw it at mid night and then twice after. One time i saw it with one of my freinds who had never read the books. When dumbledore died he started to cry and it was really funny because he's not one of the people that would ussally cry over a fantasy character dieing. Any way i plan on getting it on dvd for C mas

Ok, let me just say it- I loved it!!!
Yes, it did leave out the memories of the Gaunts, Bill and Fleur, the funeral, the fight at the end...where was I going with this??...
Ah yes- the movie, hehe.
Overall, I thought it was a great movie which was a lot like the book. Although the book had dark stuff, it also had humor and teenage love triangles.
I thought it was really good. My favorite scenes was when Hermione breaks down crying on Harry`s shoulder after she sees Ron kissing Lavender. I thought it was a rather sweet moment between them.
And I love the whole Harry/ Ginny scenes, like when Ginny runs after Harry at the Burrow during Christmas.
So what did you think of it?
