Salazar raised an eyebrow and smirked. "Are you questioning our dedication?" he asked. To be frank, he was rather insulted. Had he not known Rowena for more than 2 years? Did she not know that when he committed to something, he would see it through to the end? At least until it was no longer in his best interests. Then he would leave. But at the moment, their dream seemed to be serving him well. He would become famous and so would they. Not that their fame mattered much to him, but in any case... "How long would this trip take on horseback?" Salazar paused, finished his butterbeer, and then added: "Excuse me a moment."
He stood, took his empty goblet with him and went to the bar. "A butterbeer, again," he told the bartender. When his drink arrived, he sipped it and made his way back to the table. He leaned forward and whispered: "I do believe we have an eavesdropper." He fingered his wand and smiled. "Should I take care of him?" He had felt as though someone were watching them too carefully to be a casual observer. His trip to the bartender had confirmed his suspicions. A quick glance around their table had informed him a blond man, staring at them with something akin to greed and excitement. Salazar's dark eyes narrowed in pleasure as he drew his wand.

"It matters not," turning to Salazar, Rowena shook her head. "What matters is that we now have it." She waved off Godric. It had been her pleasure to obtain the book, and nothing to mention. This was as much her dream as any of the other three's.
"Yes, you're quite right," the response was directed at Godric. Those were indeed symbols. Lowering her voice, she leaned in. "But more importantly, this book contains ancient spells that will help us obscure the place.. cover it in great magic."
Her face turned serious. "However, I can not read it," she admitted, then quickly looked around before she leaned in closer, lowering her voice even more. "But I know of someone who can."
She'd come across the old man on her search for the book now laying beneath her hand, and he'd promised to help them translate it. The only problem was that he lived in the forests of Zhaksan and refused to remove himself from his spot, even for a short amount of time.
"It's an old sorcerer, he lives in the forests of Zhaksan," almost whispering now. "It's a dangerous journey there, he has protected his place from apparating.. we would have to travel by horse," Rowena raised her eyebrows, looking at each of them in turn.
Did they have what it took?
At a nearby table, a blonde man had been listening intently. He hadn't been succesfull in hearing everything, though. He did, however, think he'd heard enough. A great treasure was hidden somewhere and those four and their book would lead him to it. A greedy smirk spread accross his face; he was a rich man.
[So sorry for the delay!]

"Doesn't matter, you're here now,"
Helga smiled gratefully at Rowena as a 'thank you' and she glanced at the book.
Helga, unlike Salazar and Godric, had no desire to look inside the book, for knowing that they possesed the book was the most important thing to her. between Godric and Salazar, the book looked like it had almost addictive quality to them, and Helga Hufflepuff was addicted to nothing but her Vanilla Iced Tea and Muggles clothing. Helga stayed quiet, her mind racing at the thought of what possessing this book meant. When Godric spoke and smiled at everyone Helga returned it with her usual crooked smile.
Helga ran a hand through her dark mahogany brown hair again as the conversation went on, Her sparkling gray eyes watched everyones faces and changing expressions. Her pulse thrummed through her veins as her heart sped up in antcipation of what was to come from possesing such an important artifact.
{I swear, if I don't write more soon I'm going to throw my laptop across the room.}

[Oh dear, that was indeed short.]
Godric smiled at Rowena, tipping his head as a thank you that she had been kind enough to excuse his lateness. His smile widened as Helga was the last one here, he thanked silently that he wasn’t the last one to arrive. He stared at the book and grabbed it out from underneath Salazar’s nose. He gently opened the cover and began to look at the book. His brown eyes gleamed and he looked up, “Rowena, what do we owe you for carrying out such a task as this. Plus, actually getting it.” He looked at the stamps, “They look to be some type of organization. Like houses or the crest of someone who is in said organization.” He smiled at all of them, even at Salazar. Man, he just loved being himself. Arrogant, yes, almost to an obsessive point. He held the book in a caressing, possessive way as he stared at his fellow friends and….er somewhat slime ball friend. He ran one hand through his hand and took a slight gulp of his drink, his hand shaking with excitement. His nerves were on fire. His brown eyes went back to the book and began to flip through the pages, very slowly. Studying everything is his eyes could read.
He looked up and gave the book back to Salazar, patting him on the shoulder. “Sorry, Salazar, I couldn’t resist taking a look at it.” He nodded to him and stared at Rowena, “Well, does this mean we can actually start?” He tilted his head at her, with an eyebrow raised at her.

Salazer leaned forward, his dark eyes gleaming with interest. "And what was the cost?" he murmured, lightly touching the ancient leather. Symbols from a long-forgotten time were stamped on the cover. He traced them, almost caressing them. He looked up at Rowena. "What do they mean?" he asked, a pale pink giving color to his normally white cheeks.
He ignored Godric and Helga for the moment. They weren't important for now. What did matter was the book, and what it contained. Rowena hadn't been too clear on what the book was, but only said that it was essentail if they were to fulfill their dream. It was a dream that Salazar thought of constantly. It consumed his waking moments and threaded itself into his dreams. So the book was what mattered, not the courageous Godric and not the kind Helga.

Rowena's righthand fingers were drumming impatiently on the table before her, her right hand resting on top of the heavy book next to her. Normally this descendant of the Ravenclaw family wasn't one to show signs of impatience or anxiety, but it was just something about this evening.
Even the air itself seemed to agree, as everything surrounding her was giving off a sort of nervous vibe. The Inn smelled of food and sweat, bits and pieces of conversations finding their way into her ears. She didn't take any notice, though, her eyes focused on the door, eyeing everyone that entered.
Finally it would seem the madame of Fortune would show her face as a familiar, tall wizards entered the place. Pushing down the hood of his cloak, he ordered a butterbeer and walked over to her table.
"Hello, Rowena."
His unmistakeable oily voice greeted her.
"Salazar."
Rowena gave a short nod, motioning for him to sit down next to her, her eyes still focused on the door -one here, two to go.
It didn't take long before the doors swung open again, and the shaggy head of Godric Gryffindor appeared. Removing his jacket he strode over to the bartender, he too ordering a butterbeer, before he made his way over to their table.
“Hello, Rowena. Good evening, Salazar. You’ll both have to forgive me, I lost track of time."
Godric explained, his usual grin on his face. She merely waved it off -it would seem, he wasn't the only one who had.
"Hello, Godric," Rowena could feel her impatience growing.
"We're still waiting for Helga.. She'll be here in a minute, I'm sure," the nod was more to confirm herself than them.
She appeared to be right, though, as the doors swung open and Helga quickly strode over to their table. Taking the only vacant seat, she unfastened her loak and draped it over her chair.
"My apologies, everyone, I was taking care of a friend child."
"Doesn't matter, you're here now," Waving her hand again, Rowena returned Helga's smile. It was just something about the witch that usually put everyone at ease.
"As you all can see, I have been successful in obtaining the book," she gave it a light tap with her hand as she looked around at each of the other one's faces, excitement almost making her own glow.
[I've no idea what kind of book it is, so feel free.. =P]

Helga was stuck between a rock and a hard place. On one hand She had to meet Rowena and Godric and Salazar in Isaur at this very moment, but on the other she was taking care of her friends baby. Helga couldn't cancel, but she couldn't leave the child, either. Helga frowned and ran a hand through her long dark brown locks, her gray eyes sparkled as a few ideas popped into her mind.
Why not just take the baby with me? I can always apparate back if he starts crying. Helga thought. Or better yet, I can get Zeus to watch him. Helga smiled, and apparated to Zeus' home before she went to Isuar and walked through the town, slightly quickly. One or two people waved at her, and Helga waved back, but did not slow down to speak to them. Exchanging greetings at the moment would only make her even more late then she already was.
Helga walked through the door of the Inn and saw that everyone was already there. She walked over to them and took the only unoccupied seat, unfastning her cloak and drapping it over her chair. "My apologies, everyone, I was taking care of a friend child." Helga explained in her usual quiet voice, smiling crookedly at everyone. Helga ran a hand through her hair again, she wasn't thirsty, and if she became so, she would pretend like she wasn't.
