True- Snape still buckled into the pressures and became a Death Eater in the first place.

Snape wasn't as good though as Harry believed at the end, i mean Snape still hated Harry, he only kept him alive because of Lilly, and Snape was still a bad enough person to become a Death Eater in the beginning! and to let the Carrows do all the stuff they did when he was Headmaster. And I think that Snape would have hated the fact that Harry gave one of his children's middle names Severus!
